www.peakcoach.com The question is - do senior leaders need to practice certain skills? Of course they do. Why would you think that they don't? All top athletes, dancers, musicians, etc. practice-practice-practice to get and stay at the top of their game.

  • @AverageJoe4 It comes from hundreds, probably thousands, of studies on acquisition of expertise. Most notably K. Anders Ericsson. These researchers have found that the number one determinant of expertise is number of hours of deliberate practice. Innate talent is, for the most part, a fallacy.

  • this theory of deliberate practice you talk about, does it come from a book called "talent is overrated"? i'm reading that book right now and it talks about the exactly the same thing. good video
