  • hey guys, can you tell me what's the name of the first song he sings?

  • It's "Mack the Knife" of course!

  • This is incredibly rare. It's not even mentioned in Bleiel's otherwise comprehensive listing. Makes me wonder how much other stuff there is out there of which we are not aware.

Thanks for posting. Is there more from this show? A duet perhaps?

  • Yes, I was surprised that Jeff Bleiel didn't have it listed, and I have the 2nd revised edition. This and the "Blowin' in the Wind" clip are the only two parts of the show that Bobby is in.

  • Chill out , folks. Bobby fans shouldn't fight amongst themselves!

My theory: Bobby may have been experiencing chest pains.

He is moving around during Mack, yet he is STONE Still during Carpenter.

Bobby was having constant, painful palpitations in the last 3 years of his life.

Bless his soul, Bobby was so brave.

  • why cant there be singers like him today?

why cant there be people like him today?

I wanna marry someone like that!

  • God bless you Bobby you are surely missed. RIP

  • What a courageous man. With death always not too far off and knowing it, nd he put out all this great stuff. Wow, that's really something to admire!

  • Who needs Sinatra? Wow what an entertainer.

  • In all the versions I've seen Bobby Darin do Carpenter - he is always singing it STONE still - I think he was trying for atmosphere for that special song

  • Bobby looks freakin' SHARP in this video.

  • your a schmuck. Its flat.

  • Your exactly right. He blatantly slips flat on "MaCKIEE"

  • @uhnitisha My feeling also. That caliber of person (outside of the enormous gifted talent and high IQ that Bobby D was)...oh where are these type of fellows these days...???

  • Darin was an incredible talent---an award winning singer in swing/jazz, R&B, folk-rock, etc. He had magnetism and style like no other singer. His eyes mesmerize you. Sinatra, himself, admitted Darin was in a class by himself---he was just plagued by a bad heart. Sad.
