My theory: Bobby may have been experiencing chest pains.
He is moving around during Mack, yet he is STONE Still during Carpenter.
Bobby was having constant, painful palpitations in the last 3 years of his life.
Bless his soul, Bobby was so brave.

In all the versions I've seen Bobby Darin do Carpenter - he is always singing it STONE still - I think he was trying for atmosphere for that special song

Darin was an incredible talent---an award winning singer in swing/jazz, R&B, folk-rock, etc. He had magnetism and style like no other singer. His eyes mesmerize you. Sinatra, himself, admitted Darin was in a class by himself---he was just plagued by a bad heart. Sad.

This is incredibly rare. It's not even mentioned in Bleiel's otherwise comprehensive listing. Makes me wonder how much other stuff there is out there of which we are not aware.
Thanks for posting. Is there more from this show? A duet perhaps?

Yes, I was surprised that Jeff Bleiel didn't have it listed, and I have the 2nd revised edition. This and the "Blowin' in the Wind" clip are the only two parts of the show that Bobby is in.
