I had been a lifelong Texas Longhorn fan. In 1998 me and my bud Russ started rooting for Boise State. This video chronicles my conversion.

i live in North Carolina. not to say I'm a fair weather fan but I've been a Tar Heel fan for 11 years now. I have seen how bad the Tar Heels can be in football. I'm just saying it's fun to go for teams that are good at football. I am a Boise State fan but I still bleed Carolina blue and I will bleed the Carolina blue until I die.

I live in boise, and boise state football is in my opinion for people with little identity (usually non creative, non critical folks) who enjoy wearing blue and orange (which is a horrid color mix) and who use some lame football team identity to mask their lack of any personality. (This is a generalization, but I've meet many here in boise.)

football is a bunch of dudes who doggy pile each other and then boring nonartistic SUV driving folks clap their hands. WOW!!

I love it. Bronco Nation! I am 19 years old born and raised in Boise Idaho and it has just been so amazing to see Boise State grow. I play for Boise State hockey and when you travel everyone knows who Boise State is. You either love Boise State or you hate them. I know that there are a lot of VT fans that like Boise State now. I know that UGA hates Boise State and will hate them even more come September 3rd. Boise State keeps growing bigger and bigger.

If Mack Brown hadn't been such a sellout in the way he started the privileged son Simms over Applewhite, I might still be a fan of the horns. I was maybe 9 or 10 at that time and I could see how wrong it was. I adopted Boise after that magical fiesta bowl finish.

My son and I have had this conversation in regards to Michigan..

fact is we have never traveled to see a Michigan let alone a bowl game .. but for Boise we have done both!

Lets just hope we never have to make that choice.

@gloverbj1979 Good lord seriously you do need to get over yourself, its best to get more new fans come around than having to be ignored. And to have this guy, a full on Texas fan to jump our wagon in support of us is awesome. And it seems he hasn't abandoned the Longhorns, what is wrong with supporting two teams at once?? Hell, I've been a long time fan of the Broncos and since he joined our side, I've come to support the Longhorns too cuz i hate those damn Sooners as well. So F' off and grow up
