Continued From Three Simple words -- part 1

(Nick's P.O.V)

We both stood there, awkward as hell. "Feel free to say something before I pass out" I told her. Miley looked up at me, and it almost looked like she was disappointed or something. "I'm sorry... But I don't know what I'm supposed to say to that. I waited forever for you to tell me that... it's a little late now". I stood there, completely shocked and heartbroken. How could I have waited so long to tell her how I felt? They were only three simple words to speak, and I failed them. I failed her. "Miley, I'm saying it now, isn't that what counts?" I begged her to tell me it was what matters. That I can admit it now, but she never took it. She told me it was too late. And that broke my heart to pieces. I needed her so badly, but I lost her. If only I could have said it before, she'd still be mine. "I think it would be best if you left now.." Miley said, with a few tears in her eyes. But trying to stay strong. That was something I loved about her. She didn't want any sympathy at all, so she made everyone around her believe she was alright. But I knew her too well, I never fell for it. I fell for her instead. "Please, Miley." I begged for her to give me a second chance. "I can't go through the pain Nick, so please just leave." I went to kiss her goodbye, but she walked away. She went right back inside to Liam's arms. That was supposed to be me she ran too. But I blew that. I walked away from Miley's house, and decided to just go home. I wanted to clear my head, alone. And I knew everyone was out. Well, that was what I thought. I opened the door to see Demi standing in the front room. "Demi, hi. I'm sorry, but Joe isn't home." "I know, I'm here to see you actually." I wondered what Demi would want from me, especially right now. I was for sure not in the mood for a pep talk from my brother's girlfriend. "I'm really sorry, Demi. But it's just not a good day so far, could we do this later? "I think this will cheer you up, Nick." "And I need a little cheering up myself. So could we cheer up one another? Please?" I hesitated, but I knew Demi needed a friend because of what happened with Selena. And I guess I would be that friend for her. "Alright, what's your idea?" I asked. "We're going to a write a kick ass song to get over our pain." I knew her idea was a good one, so I went along with it. Demi and I wrote an amazing song that ended up ranking at number one on her album. So, turns out, something good did end up coming out of this. But it's not over yet. I won't stop fighting for Miley. She is my entire world. I can't live without her.
