yeah my schools band, we play the beginning (measures 1-58) we play it turbo fast, in the 4/4 part we slow down a bit, on Life's incredible again we play it slower and swing hard, and then from measures 122-the end we play it wicked fast. i think its cool to see how different bands play different pieces

wow i guess diferent directors have different perspectives. when we do it the section life is incredble again is suppose to be slow smooth jazz. the glory days is pretty fast. and then incredits is like holy crap thats fast. lol. great job though no criticism intended

yah i know what you mean
I played this my freshmen year and we did it as you described
however, as you may very well know our band went through a "change" of
directors and our new director didn't want to change the "Life is Incredible Again" section to a slower smooth jazz tempo, for some reason we kept it the same
tempo throughout the piece but i know that the drum fill is supposed to slow down into the Life is Incredible Section :)
