According to leading scientists, when a virus is genetically modified (that means changing it's DNA or RNA) it is no longer considered to be the same virus. As for whether or not the dead virus is still the virus, I said I that fragments of the virus are given to you, never the whole thing. If you watched my explanation at the end of the video, you would have got that.
