sometimes I guess we have to embrace the new and change everything....that way we are left with who we really are exposed...and this thing does that. This is video blog number one. I'm Jake Walden, traveling poet and student of life (some may say homeless and jobless)...music is my life and if you are watching this, just discovering the album, or with me from the beginning, I hope these "vlogs" to come make you smile, or give you insight into what it is you seek. This one will do neither, but I will get better. Peace, Jake

  • It feels like you just spoke all the words that are in my heart. I'm still thinking, but I guess I won't force it.

  • thanks for he video jake. your stories about your life, your heartbreak are quite brave. and revealing. they say so much about who you are. what you feel. that's why i was drawn to your music. they stories are from your heart. and are real. anver very personal.

i live in sf. would love to see you live. are you ever playing at any of the clubs here in the bay area?

    thanks again for your stories.

    michael

  • Hey, Jake -- ALIVE AND SCREAMING has touched me in the deepest part of my soul. When I heard you wrote it from the place of a broken heart, it made perfect sense: it's not just the amazing/unique voice I'm responding to, it's the honest, bleeding heart that you've so generously shared with all of us. I've given your album to lots of friends, and they ALL respond: gay, straight, young, old, male, female -- it touches us all. Some day you will writer from joy, but for now, thanks for your pain.

  • This is true Jake...no matter if you are talking or singing, there is always an intensity and raw emotion that can be felt.

  • you're doing great things jake, for everyone. Keep it up x

  • What a cool nice sweet sensitive guy you are..now I know how you make beautiful music.X
