I first visited Abu Dhabi in 1980, then in 1989 I lived and worked there for 3 years. The minute I stepped off the plane I fell in love with it and felt at home, even though I am an Englishwoman. I would love to return one day - it was, and I am sure still is, a magical place.

Although there is a lot more can speak about Abu Dhabi than what have been displayed in here, this video was able to deliver it's intended message very well in a very short video clip, which is great.. Well done!
A master piece from the Masters.. Great job, keep it up!

We have a hater over here. Dubai and Abu Dhabi have been built in 10-years with the sheer genious of the worlds best architects and minds. Not to mention the Arab money backing it all to fruition.
Amazing place, been there twice.

@establishmentME this "Pile of sand" you are talking about have over 8 million foreigners across all emirates not just abu dhabi ! and who told you we were getting food and medical aid from the "Shah of iran" ? for your info the total locals in UAE are almost 1 Million people ! and 60% their roots comes from iran.....don't just be a smart ass learn other countries history first !

I absolutely agree with establisentme opinion. Certianly Abu Dhabi is a city of sand , by all means. If a person is not a national they are a shadow of a humanbeing , they don't exist. The native are like the desert sand not real , moving and no foreigner can relate to them. The clip is short and is promoting the commercial aspects of real estate in the emirate , but not the society which is full of conflicts.

What an amazing time lapse! It really move me especially as an Emirati! <3

Pile of sand is a figure of speech....This place is made for a world, by a world that does not exist. I'm not quiet sure where you come from...but where ever it is must be a dump if you think the UAE or Abu Dhabi is something to be proud or happy about. Absolutely poor in urban planning, community building and mostly far from civilization or humanity. Tall and fast developments of real estate do not stand for growth. institutions and social responsibility and education does.

It is still a pile of sand. Back in the 60s and 70s they were receiving charity for food and medical aid from the Shah of Iran. Today.....it's just tall empty buildings, and still built on sand. Thank you for falsifying and hiding the truth.

@establishmentME interesting opinion from someone with registered business in the UAE. Or is it. Ah well.
And by the way, how does 'built on sand' make it any less worth than if it was built on soil, swamps, volcanic rock or ice like some other cities?
As for 'falsifying and hiding the truth' - would you care to elaborate?
