  • The lifters that come in from the sides center the crate just before they lift it. Once the crate is lifted to the height of the holding mechanism on the front and back of the crate. They keep the crate in alignment front to back. In unit testing it usually lines up great. We have yet to test in competition. (we had software issues on 11/20) We hope to tune up performance for the next WA regional.

  • This was a torque test. We have since geared down the motors and are tuning the keeper mechanism that holds the crates while we pick up annother and push it up into the stack. I will post a detail of that when it is working. Maybe by tomorrow night, since our first regional is Sunday.

  • Wow. Nice robot! Had any progress since then? I really want to see how its going!

  • i would say add a motor. team 4177 out.

  • Did the robot stack that, or did you? I don't think anyone stacked more than two at our first regional...

  • @rainydaymaker That is really freaky...our robot design looks almost the same as yours...just a few variations in your mechanisms + a few of our own. I guess all great teams think alike!

  • That's an amazing lifting design you guys have there! How do you plan on getting balls in the crates?

  • How did you guys manage to stack those in the robot? In terms of keeping the top box while the lower box when under without the top box falling?

  • Did you stack the crates or did the robot do that?
