One of the most intense thunderstorms of the last decade swept through Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia on the 2nd of August 2011. Though I missed the two most intense lightning strikes I'd yet experienced to date, there was still a lot to see from this 7 hour thunderstorm...

If you like stormy weather, you'll love the sights and sounds this one offered!

This one rivaled our June 2nd storm earlier this year, in The Unquiet Sky 1!

  • You crowd from nova scotia, always get better lightning storms than us newfies. Still it was a good show and it looks like that storm literally took your town and swallowed it whole.

  • @TheCompletionist Did it ever! What I missed was the bolt of lightning that nuked three transformers at once and knocked me to the ground. I had a tingling scalp for 20 minutes after that one....

  • Sackville? ._. LBP Sure has made it's way into fame.

  • @fan354 HAHA! It's the other way around; This town has been here since the 1800's =D

    But it is still a rather unfortunate name u_u;;

  • Nice....Great catches man...Great quality. Keep up the good work!

  • @Nathan21122012 Thanks. Hopefully the weather goes nuts again before it's too late =)

  • Unquiet is a great description!

  • Man that was a great storm and that bolt you missed with the massive thunder was right over my work I was out side at the time. it was ridiculous and it got me the night off work. That was a good day

  • @Serraxor Lol yep.

  • @RyHoMagnifico I second that. What the other storm gave us in fequency, we got in intensity this time around. My fingers are crossed (and my eyes are constantly on the RADAR) for more. It's still early august; the best storm of 2007 was in late august, and it rivaled June 2 =)
