Dell Xps M1330 has a Gpu issue which has not been solved even after 1 year. The Gpu crashes periodically after 6 months time. Its a great performing laptop but with these issues its bringing down its glory. I think its time Dell should do something to save all M1330's out there.

  • well i have a toshiba satellite laptop..same problem..but when i go to safe mode the problem dissappears..i dunno what's the problem,is it the hdd or graphic card?

  • @kuyajhet Well I guess it's the Graphics card, when you go to safe mode I guess the system is not using the Graphics card and is using the default motherboard card...that's why it may be coming up....

  • what about 11 times motherboard exchanged and at the end on the 2nd year I just told them that I want my money back. With out any arguments I received the full amount that I had paid 2years ago.

  • @Zagorka007

I think thats a pretty good deal..!!

  • Yup!! I work as an IT Tech for a company that has 14 of these and I've replaced the motherboard on all of them at least once already. These are def lemons!!!

  • @DOUGMUZIQ

OMG!! I think the latest motherboards they are giving are pretty much ok...

I used to do tech support for a certain computer company who has issues with this (who shall remain nameless).

We always laughed really hard at toolbags like you threatening to sue... Read your warranty agreement, buddy! You will spend more than the value of your laptop on a lawyer, You. Will. Lose. And you'll be responsible for court costs. Best of luck to you!

Dell is only responsible to repair/replace (at their discretion) your system, for as long as it's covered under warranty.

  • Wish I could agree...but I just replaced one for the 2nd time. The first replacement only worked for 3 months. Now I'm working with a Dell rep to see if maybe we can get MB with Intel Graphic

  • Try my copper shim to lower your gpu temps and keep your laptop from failing. It is only $7 and comes with thermal paste. Search for "M1330 copper shim" on ebay.
