This little mare is getting a chance of a life after racing.....one of the lucky ones....here is a vid of her on the lunge as part of her preparation for her first ride under saddle...most Standies are extremely easy to break to saddle....the odd one here & there is a little more difficult....so much depends on their previous handling,especially as a youngster...& of course their natural ability in the different gaits
Standies are awesome to rde. I have a trotter- Quartino. he, sadly, can't jump because his legs aren't too good. :/ But he can go suuuper fast!!

I am getting my first Standarbred mare in a couple weeks.. she hasnt raced in a few years, any suggestions to breaking her under the saddle? ( ps beautiful video!)
