New song, yay! :)
It's another slightly dark-ish song, but it's all about self discovery, learning to stop distracting ourself long enough to see our true selves and that kind thing...

Anyway, I'm pretty happy with it, hope you guys enjoy it as well. Feel free to comment and rate if you'd like, I'd love to hear what you think!
Roxy :)

Here are the lyrics:

Waiting to Expire

Living each day waiting for tomorrow
but what are you waiting for
Distracting yourself from all your sorrow
The pain seems to close every door
But who knows what lies within
If you never let yourself in
But who knows what you might find
If you search the depth of your mind

Seeking truth and a sense of tranquility
A moment without regret
There's nothing worse than uncertainty
Not knowing just what to expect
But who knows what you might find
If you search the depth of your mind
But who knows what you might see
If you learn to let yourself be

What are you so afraid of
What do you think you're made of
You're living life waiting to expire

You search for something more,
You knock at every door
Can you not see the good you inspire
Stop living life waiting to expire...

Why do you wander place to place
Never a moment being still
Seeking more than a friendly face
But never getting your fill

You search for something more,
You knock at every door
You're living life waiting to expire
What are you so afraid of,
What do you think you're made of?
Can you not see the good you inspire
Stop living life waiting to expire...

Living each day, waiting for tomorrow
But what are you waiting for?

    Good song, thanks.

    Great guitar playing.

Please reduce the volume on the guitar and add more volume to your beautiful voice.

  • .... damn, that was an insightful song. To be honest, glancing at the lyrics, I didn't think I'd like this song. Not to dismiss it, but it read like one of those advice songs, written open-endedly for a generic listener, and I tend to like songs with really specific stories and details in them. But your voice and guitar playing were extremely beautiful. They made your song rise high above the average. Much love.

  • Thanks for the beautiful song. I've been struggling through a time of uncertainty myself. Keep it up! And I don't care what some of these guys say, your recording sounds great for coming from a laptop!

  • Hi again Roxanne. I saw you live today at Old East Studios, and we spoke for quite awhile afterwards. I repeat... you were amazing! Feel free to email me so I can send you that CD of mine with the French song I think you might like.
