A brief look at the new N scale Gunderson MAXI-I BNSF "Swoosh" from Kato USA

The N scale Gunderson MAXI-I is a 5-unit articulated well car from Kato USA, available in hobby stores now in BNSF "Swoosh" paint colors.

Each set of Gunderson MAXI-I's includes 10 40' Magnetic Intermodal Containers, with the BNSF version coming with NYK logistics containers. Like the MAXI-IV, the MAXI-I features steel compound plastic wells for weight and stability, as well as shock absorber construction for the trucks and the new refined connection system first put into place on the 2012 MAXI-IV release.

version IV doesn't exist in 53' wells, 48' is the largest 5 well car.

A real good tip for people to know is that the very center well car trucks are both to be permanent. I had a lot of trouble till I figured that out.
