An examination of the agrarian beginnings of the Grange in 1867 and how it took root in Maine. Grange halls are still holding on as a center of community life in many Maine towns, serving as the setting for countless weddings, bean suppers and class reunions. Profiled in-depth is the Houlton Grange, once the world's largest.
This video is very well done! I get a great sense of pride while watching this! I am a very active youth member of Stanford Grange #808 in Dutchess County, New York. We too are very active in our community service. I love the family atmosphere. It doesn't matter what kind of background you come from. Members young and old are all treated the same. Yay Grange!
