On Wednesday night on our Face The Nation programme aired at 10 pm "Should spiritual leaders participate in anti-corruption campaigns", we carried a pre-recorded interview of the Art Of Living Founder and spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar without explicitly mentioning that the interview had been recorded a couple of hours earlier in the day.
Since the interview appeared during a live debate format, it sent out the wrong message to viewers.
There was absolutely no malafide intention on our part, no disrespect was intended to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and the error is deeply regretted. CNN-IBN offers our unconditional apologies to Sri Sri ji and to all viewers whom we may have unintentionally offended.

...And by the way, each and every citizen of this country including Ravishankar has the right to campaign against anything and more significantly against corruption. The nation is not Sagarika's dad's or her husband's property that she can tell us who should campaign or who should not, based on whether she likes that person's face or not!

Shame Sagarika. Shame IBN. This apology is non-sense. First she commits a fraud and says there is no malafide intention. She clearly asks Ravishankar to respond to questions raised by Arun Bhatia and shows Ravishankar responding. She never ever mentions that Ravishankar was not a part of the live debate. I think Sagarika Ghose and Rajdeep Sardesai should quit or stop all these acts of fraud.

Most unethical practice and these are the people questioning the role of spirituality in politics! Sagarika Ghose has proven herself to be an unethical newsperson. It's atrocious how a man can be represented like this! He is asked to obviously comment on his UP Yatra and then he is shown to be answering a different set Of questions where he is being criticised and accused. Ghose and her channel ought to be surd for journalistic malpractice.
