Hi! I have been using Nu-Derm for 9 weeks now. I have had redness and terrible peeling from week 1 until now. I am still flaking, and peeling, but it is nothing like it had been before. I am wondering if I peeled so badly because of my age (43) and the amount of sun damage I have (sun baby for 30 years). Any one else have this length of adverse effects?

@reanihas610 I definitely think age has something to do with it a lot of the time. My Aunt started Obagi when she was 40 and she reacted a lot worse than I ever did!

Okay so I am on day 3 with the entire Obagi Nu-derm system plus the C serum and .05% tretinoin cream....and holy cow my face is red and already incredibly dry! Did you use the .05% cream every night? I really feel this is what is making my skin so dry and red, and I just want to make sure I'm not over doing it. Also- for the clear and blender/tretinoin are you just doing a "spot treatment" ?

Your skin even in the weeks prior to your plateau, doesn't look that red... was it ever really red?

@truevine89 Oh yeah my skin was super red and burning. I didn't use the .05% because I have uber sensitive skin so they gave me the lowest Retin-A % available. I didn't do any spot treatments with it I just used it all around my face. I would say give it some time and see if your skin starts to improve. Maybe take a night off from the Retin-A because that is the stuff that makes your skin VERY dry.

When do you use the Vitamin C serum? (night/day..and in between which two products?) Thanks!

@truevine89 I use the Vit C every morning after Step #2 ( Toner) Then I let is soak into my skin before I apply step #3 (Clear). I do not use it at night.

i am not using obagi but i am using epiduo and fanicea and it burns its terrible...how long did it take to over come the tightness itchiness and burning

I just finished week one. My skin is very dry and flaking right now. I was using the Retin A every night but had to switch to every other night because my face was super red and burning. Thanks for the videos. They're really helpful.
