Democrats Denounce GOP Motion to Recommit on RESTORE Act

The House debates the RESTORE Act of 2007 (Responsible Electronic Surveillance That is Overseen, Reviewed, and Effective). This bill provides the Intelligence Community with effective tools to conduct surveillance of foreign targets outside the United States but restores Constitutional checks and balances that were not contained in President Bush's bill, the Protect America Act (PAA). Democrats denounce a Republican Motion to Recommit containing redundant language with the intent of "effectively killing the measure by delay" as the Washington Post recently described it.

The Dems set us up fpr war with Iraq. If your memory only goes back to 9-11, you should stop talking. No shit we're broke, 2/3 of our economy is driven by consumers, when those consumers stop spending, war with Iran will make up for it.

i also pay property taxes and the insurance fees and everything other charge that comes with "owning" land+home ..my big fear is the retro active tax..where The Federal Reserve Raises Intrest Rates and Make the Increase Retro Active..meaning you could get a bill in the mail for thousands of dollars with 30days to pay....its how the fed closed down 40% of the eastern farms and reopened them under Rental Familys.
