Too bad for Talkin Man..couldn't get that extra kick. Good memories of that horse..I cared for him back in the 90's.

@jhordanian He was dismissed because of that 4th in the BG. He was also one of three entries by his trainer who sent out the favorite, Timber Country at 3-1.

@saveus228 You OBVIOUSLY didn't follow Thunder Gulch before this race. He was a fighter and proved it in his first few races as 3 Year Old. By the time he finished fourth in the increasing over-emphasized Blue Grass Stakes he'd already completed his mission in defeating Suave Prospect twice. He DID NOT have a 'perfect trip' -he DID have a perfect ride in Gary Stevens and he was the ONLY horse I picked to win that year...a rarity...and another close call for a Triple Crown candidate.
