If 911 didn't get us to pay sustained attention to our collective destiny (and by that I don't just mean Americans) - What would? I think we are at adolescent escapist addicts (addicted to drugs drink distraction sex shopping cutting oil....) I've been fighting this -devolution- all my life in thousands of ways...and I no longer know what to do because people are shut down. I want to try NOT to think this way, but it's hard to avoid.

Very heart felt video. I agree with you. And people are listening. If you can catch the ears of just 1 person or a million you have successfully accomplished your goals.
It is hard to voice yourself. Martin Luther King one of my favorite's, voiced himself when it was very unpopular for him to do so. But when things looked gloomy he kept on trucking. And he made a change. Don't give up. Keep on trucking, your voice carries further then you'll ever expect.

I don't pay enough attention it's true. I just feel so impotent I run from doing anything and stay in my own little world. Classic example of the lethargy that piles up and allows these things to happen. Biggest problem here is getting people to even bother voting as it doesn't seem to matter who's in power-they're all crap anyway.

Nobody pays attention anymore, Ray. Why? Because this is America, and we don't have to. Nobody cares. And that's scary. You're right... the ones that should be doing something about it---> Don't. It's downplayed here. What happens "There" isn't important "Here." We only get the "good," not the bad. Stay Strong, Ray. I miss you.
