Actually, I've been complaining about the TSA for some time. This was just a few months after 9/11, and I changed my views about the TSA early on in the Bush Administration. However, Penn Jillette is still an a-hole for doing that thing with the metal card.
wow, penn is the only one making any sense. The rest of them are nuts.
Simple solution. Free market competition.
If enough people want airlines to feel their nuts and go down on them so that they feel "safe", let them fund their own airline that caters to their preferences. If I want to fly on an airline that simply arms their pilots, and feel safe with that, let me put my money there.

Now Debbie Schlussel is complaining about the TSA. I suppose thats because Obama is in office. Penn was correct though.

Choice may be key in certain instances, but you lose the argument when one or more of those "choices" violate the personal freedoms of others.
Imagine a privatized airline that said "no blacks aloud". The "choice" is thereby taken away from anyone of African decent.
If a choice violates JS Mill's harm principle, and the principle of social liberty, it has no place in a free society.
