Horses playing in the lake after a LONG trail ride!!!

All three riders on the sorrel horses are absolute beginners. I have awesome babysitting horses.


This was after a LONG trail ride in mid-summer. Poor pony with short legs had to trot the entire time to keep up, so was absolutely exhausted/sweaty when we finally hit the lake-- she LOVES that water!! LOL.

Plus, her rider is a very timid person and though she was very comfortable on the horse, she would never venture to correct any bad behavior (so I had to get on later and take her through the lake without laying down).

åfter the soaking how did you dry your saddles? Had a horse once that liked to swim but I was afraid the water would hurt my leather saddle, so wanted to be bareback whenever near the water.
