All people - the headset comes with RCA cables for decent sound but for the Dolby 5.1 simulated surround sound you must buy an optical TOSlink cable. (I recommend off amazon or from a local department store because the $20 astro asks for is over priced).

Foxlogo, it comes with wires to get good sound, but for the best sound you should by an optical TOSlink cable to replace that. The wire is very cheap and can be bought many places. (don't order the one from astro cuz they charge $20 and it's worth $5).

hey i hear that the mixamp doesn't bring some optical cable, is that the one needed for the surround sound? does this package bring all the necessary cables to just hook it up and play with surround sound? or you have to waste even more money on cables that it should have brought? someone please answer

@iBradstarFTW Neither, it means you won't be able to use the mixamp unless you have it plugged in via USB.
