Wasn't this the first UFC in Chicago? I don't know if they really knew what to expect in the fights. And that Silva/Cote fight was a let down because Silva just didn't do anything that anyone was expecting to see, they wanted to see the knockouts he usually does.

I think people have a mentality about MMA where the crowd turns into that of the Colosseum where they want blood...the crowds do. I mean they pay who knows how much and they for one reason or another just want to see somebody getting beaten the hell up.

Amazing performance by Anderson. He was toying with Cote and he still won the first two rounds easily and Cote could barely even touch him. If Anderson wanted to he could have easily came out and knocked Cote in the 1st or 2nd round but he just chose not to. Anyway very good recap for a very good night of fights.

Exactly. Everyone is giving credit to Cote for making it out of the second round, completely ignorant to the fact that Silva was playing with him the whole time. Silva straight up embarrassed Cote for two solid rounds.

Very true on the crowds... I'm just glad it isn't just the south though. :D Nice Brooklyn Brawler reference. Gray is a scary dude and the ref sucked. Right on with Silva being the main factor for it going to the third round.
