Interesting studio project. Just some constructive critique from a fellow ID guys and bike enthusiast, if you don't mind. :)
1. Bike form follows human ergonomics. Understand how we bend, reach, sit on, and pedal on a bike, as well adjustability for human sizing.
2. Suspended beam for what reason? Less triangulation means less lock points. The frame will also be too flexy.
3. Look up the integrated locks on Dutch bikes. Clean, simple and understated.
