The Longer Term

The panellists discuss the challenges regulators face in reforming the financial sector. They tackle a question from the floor and attempt to answer whether bankers are in fact doing gods work. John Varley sums up the global efforts underway in reforming the banking sector, calling for consistency in enacting and implementation of regulation. He goes on to emphasise the role of good culture in banking organisations around the world.

  • John Varley is a thief and deserves absolutely no respect or support from the public. He is a thief in a suit. He is responsible for formulating Barclays model on excessive bank charges, and I hold him personally responsible for the theft of £800 from my Barclays Bank account. It is payback time !! John Varley should be looking over his shoulder every day..let's all make sure some harm comes to him.
