@AngelicLux thanks, someone explained it already, he said something about using machines to see the waves, because waves are what we can see through human eyes, and colors not. thanks again dude.

@FederRiedelBikes I think scientists know because humans can only see certain wavelengths of light. IE (480nm-700nm). Any wavelength of light outside that we cannot perceive as colors. Butterflies may be able to see say between 300-800nm wavelengths of light. Therefore butterflies can see colors outside our visible light spectrum

butterflies can see more colors than us? how do we know? i mean, lets say we see 3 colors, red, blue and green. and butterflies can see more than us, 4, whats the number 4 then? if we dont see it, how do we know it exist? and if we dont know it exists, how can we say that butterflies can see it, when we dont know what color it is. anyone understand me?
