This 12 year old girl is a future Olympian! She already holds at least four national age group swimming records (probably more -- and certainly more to come!). Watch how she blows away the competition who are also top 12 year olds. Could she make the next Olympic team as a 16 year-old? The following was posted on her club site: "After setting a National Age Group record in the Girls 11-12 50y backstroke this fall, Janet Hu set three more NAG records at Tom Dolan: Girls 11-12 50y freestyle 23.77 -- 100y Backstroke 55.68 -- 200y backstroke1:59.69"

  • I saw a buncha kids like this coaching. You think they will grow up to be amazing but they start to not improve as much and the other kids start to catch up to them

  • @danqbis7 I appreciate what you are saying especially since i have a 5'9" 11 year old girl who is currently highly ranked, but to say that you saw a bunch of kids like Janet Hu, i must take exception. Multiple NAG records is an awesome and a very rare accomplishment and now that Janet is 15 she continues to dominate in Open competitions. I stand by my headline to this old video. Remember her name!

  • No wonder that the times in America are so fast, here in Europe we swim in meters, not in yards

  • @Pl4tinumB0w "short course" 50 yard pools during the indoor season, then 50 meter "long course" pools in the summer season. we are finishing the long course season this month here in the U.S.

  • Oh I see. How did she do last year at LC? And also I'm a pretty good Canadian swimmer :) I love long course cuz I suck at turns.

  • @Eviseratorix go here pvswim.org/0910meet/10-60rw.html and then search for Janet. this was her last meet. it's early in the LC season. she competed in mostly all senior events even though she is 14. what do you think of her times?
