Darren Hayman - My Dream Train

Darren Hayman used to be in a band I liked called Hefner. Then he was in a band I liked called The French. Then he did some other things that I liked.

He wrote, recorded and released a song a day during January 2011. This was the 31st, and this is the video I made for it. You can see and hear the rest of the songs from the project here: http://januarysongs.tumblr.com/

I started work on the animation about a week before the song was written. All I knew at the time was that it would be 90bpm. I heard the finished song for the first time at 1pm on the 31st. The video was cut, edited and lip synched a little before midnight.

The train coaches were made by Yvonne Doyle (http://bit.ly/e7mW5g), who also lent me the train.

Do you use lego heads, but twist them backwords so you can...use a program for the mouth animation?
