This year saw a 56% increase in Japanese buyers, a rise of 47% in German buyers, those from Russia up 56%, double the attendance figures from South Korea, China and Turkey and impressive numbers also coming from France, Great Britain and Holland.

Touch! Neozone and cloudnine, the three trade shows organised by Pitti Immagine in Via Tortona (24-26 September 2011), concluded yesterday, recording an increase of 15% in overall attendances, involving 8,075 buyers and an audience of over 9,400 visitors in total. Net growth was recorded both in the number of foreign visitors (up 20% compared to the September 2010 edition), and in Italian buyers, the number of which increased by 14% compared to a year ago.
Heading the list of the top 15 countries was Japan, followed by France, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Austria, Greece, China, South Korea, Russia, Belgium, Great Britain, United States, Hong Kong and Holland.

"We have achieved excellent results this edition," states Agostino Poletto, Vice-Director General of Pitti Immagine. "The increase in foreign buyers confirms that our shows have become an international focal point for the most astute buyers to research products and innovations. We have invested a great deal in international scouting -- over 40% of the brands at this edition, from a total of 182 brands, were new names -- and in offering strong capsule collections and researching the most creative accessories. As always, we also paid great attention to upcoming brands, to young designers with their first collections, to whom we attempt to give wider visibility with specific projects."

There were extremely positive comments from journalists and buyers also with regard to the project dedicated to the collections by 8 upcoming designers from Not Just A Label, the online platform dedicated to supporting new fashion pioneers, which presents over 6,000 upcoming international brands and was taking part in a trade show for the first time.

We must also remember that the collections presented by the 50 companies who took part in this edition are also still available to view on e-Pitti.com, the online trade show platform and marketplace launched by Pitti Immagine and FieraDigitale, through the new showroom service, which will allow companies and buyers to negotiate and seal orders into the coming months.
