Politics Video Blog: Scott McClellan's surprisingly critical memoir of his time as White House Press Secretary put the White House in full-on damage control mode. McClellan's book may have been off-message, but the White House and its surrogates were conspicuously "on" in their response.

  • A bunch of freaking robots. This is how they work...any time there is a threat to their system, they immediately discredit the person. They did it with Ron Paul calling him a racist. They do it by calling nations or groups of people "evil" If the sheeple in this country continue to vote in these dishonest politicians and continue to watch these dishonest newscasts, the further degradation of this country will be inevitable.

  • • Let's be real, take a look at the TWELVE VISIONS PARTY®

  • i love the obvious scripting in these talks, the word-o-counts make it so obvious

  • HAHA

    "i'm stumped"

    "you said you were stumped?"

    "i'm still stumped"

  • Hilarious!

In the Nixon era you had to "follow the money" to get to trace a source to the crooks. These days things are easier. Instead of following the money, you just follow the talking points.

These people sound like a bunch of robots.

  • After hearing these republican asswipes, I really need to buy this book now.

  • yea, lets just forget about it and continue to be ignorant

  • Reminds me of Colbert's: "He believes the same thing Wednesday that he believed on Monday, no matter what happened Tuesday. Events can change; this man's beliefs never will. "

  • Sometimes the truth hurts. - The fact that these clowns don't recognize the validity of a dissenting opinion is just further proof of how deep the "groupthink" in the Bush administration really was. - They refused to accept any opinion other than their own. They replaced appointments and generals when advice was contrary to what they wanted to hear. Then they complained that they were "victims of groupthink" and here... they continue to demonstrate their persistent and even insistent ignorance.
