thanks for you reply, i am running Safari Version 5.0.5 (6533.21.1), i don't know why it didn't upgrade to 5.1 the control>command>f doesn't work and there is no option in the view tab, i am currently trying to find a download for v5.1 for Lion, it keeps coming up with v5.1 for Snow Leopard, the Software update tab under the logo doesn't show up with Safari..

why doesn't my safari go full screen after i installed the official Lion OS X release?? any ideas,, did u have to update safari or was it all ready to go after install?

@chrischris093 Try holding down control + command + f when you're in safari, or click on the arrows on the top right corner of your window. You can also do view->Full Screen in the menubar at the top.
