Pov Response

Pov response to station for 1 engine request mutual aid to a neighboring dept for a R.I.T. team for a poss. structure fire at a roofing company. Small fire found.

I have 3 questions, what state is this in, how long does it take for everyone to get to the station, and is everyone allowed to have a siren?? thanks

I live in southwestern ohio, it takes me about 5 to 7 minutes to get to the station but it usually only takes 3 to 5 for everyone else i live pretty far from the station, yes everyone in ohio is aloud to have siren's.

so if thats your arguement "chief" y do we have fire officer's responding to scene's? chiefs battalions etc.... yea they run command but whats the difference?

ok...any one at our fire station can have lights and a siren, why is it different with other fire stations, but theres only a few that can take their pov to the scene. the rest have to go to the station.

I am medical chief of the guatemalan volunteer fire dept. We also have POV with lights and sirene. We run to the scene instead of the station. Traffic here sucks so every minute counts. I think a firefighter knows how to run hot, dont understand whats difficult to understand. You have erned your privilegie of runing to a scene.

ok to all the people talking about running hot to the scene. how bout all us firefighters slow down take turns slower and then when the persons house if fully involved and burns to the grund we dont want to hear about it saying "oh well why did yall get here faster"? well to tell you the truth sir or mam their are people out there that dont want us to make sure your house and belongings are ok. yes i do agree on slowing down through a green light but if its clear just go through it.
