i made this to highlight that sept is childhood cancer awareness month, that research for childhood cancers is one of the least funded, how many children are diagnosed with the most common childhood cancers each yr, and
research foundations that are actively researching better treatments for childhood cancer.

childhood cancer research foundations mentioned in this vid:

Childhood oncology group

alex's lemonade stand

st. baldrick's foundation

  • This is a precious video- thank you. My 5 yr. old grandson was diagnosed with ALL in Nov. 2011. It was such a shock to our entire family- one of those "it will never happen to me" things. This illness is devasating and a cruel disease- so sad. I don't know any other stronger troopers than these children battling cancer. I am sorry for your loss- she does live on in the hearts of many. May God bless you and yours.

  • @tlt72254 katie is bratz2's daughter. he let me use his pictures for this. but yes it is very sad and hard to see a child with cancer... makes your heart sink

  • Thanks for using my Katie's pictures in this video. It's good to know that her memory may help other children!

    I miss her so much!!!

People need to understand that it can happen to any one of them! I never in a million years thought that my daughter would be diagnosed with Leukemia and lose her fight!

  • @bratz2 i cant even imagine what your journey with katie felt like. your messages and pictures have really moved me and helped give more perspective... i hope they do other people too.

  • Very nice video! I hope people become more aware.

  • @Joiseygal thanks. me too.

  • i was 1 of the 500 children diagnosed with non hodgkins lymphoma last year. and a very rare form of it at that. i was diagnosed at the age of 15. i am not 16 years old, and i'm in complete remission. the childhood cancer awareness NEEDS to spread. children aren't experiencing life yet. it's a terrible terrible disease.

  • @art4thecure1 Ahh, this is so heart wrenching, I am currently dealing with my grandma having cancer and not doing so well...but I feel worse for all of the parents who have children with cancer. Such a good video, I hope this gets out to everyone so that more support can go to these children. :]

P.S. Sorry Ive been away so long, my computer has been down for a while...

  • Beautiful video,my son was dx with stage 3 liver cancer at just 18 months and is 8 months remission. It saddens me that there is not enough awareness about childhood cancer and the fact it's not as rare as people may think we need to make gold as important as pink!!!

  • Good song choice! This is a great way to make people more aware.

  • This is really sad!:(

Thanks a lot for making such an awesome video!
