The unofficial 2nd state song for Oklahoma debuted during the holiday season in 1956. I was involved in the production of a remake in 1977 making it 30 years for me. It is going into the Guinness World Book of Records for the longest running commercial . . . EVER!!!

  • Ray Ackerman once told me he co-wrote the jingle.

  • @Frisco2005 That is true. He co-wrote it in 1956 (when I was one years old) with a guy named . . . I CAN'T REMEMBER!! The name is escaping me for some reason. I'm wanting to say Al Fiegel. Wait, that's it! I produced, (reproduced really) played piano and the bells, and went to Dallas to do the singers from a transcription I did of the original. It is the version that has been playing since 1977.

  • @amber8bo8bamber Then you must live under a rock!

  • It is Al Fiegel. He was my advertising instructor at Central State University in the 80s. A great old guy. Really old school advertising. Zowie! Wow! Whooooie!!

  • Dam, can't find the original with the extra verse: the christmas wish of b.c. clark is to keep on pleasing youuu. (so give the gift you know won't fail)

  • You're kidding! I've only lived here since 1997 & have heard it every year. Remember it when I came to visit my Aunt for Thanksgiving years before that.

  • i have lived in oklahoma all my life and have never heard this song until today.

  • Oops -- meant to say ... represented a "company" I used to work for ...

  • Thanks for your response. Ackerman represented a copy I used to work for in 1978, and they did a wonderful job then, too. I can't remember a Christmas season without hearing this commercial.
