  • They were kept platonic because of the race factor. Lets get real. People can praise them for being "unique" and all because they were friends. And that's true. But if Jesse was white he and Jenny would have been a real couple. Its a soap opera rule. The one you run off with (or on the run with) is the one that becomes your true love.

  • BTW - whether it be race related or not, I am very glad that AMC showed a man and woman who's friendship was STRICTLY platonic, nothing more. IT DOES HAPPEN!

  • awww, love it.

  • Wonderful scenes. So touching. Soaps don't have friendships now.

  • Jesse Loved Jenny, he respected Gregg and he felt like Jenny's protector. He was never interested in a romantic relationship...according to the script...LOL!

  • I always remember the best buds they were. So sad the show is ending. I love Jesse and Angie.

Jesse before his Scare on his forhead. I love him.

  • @waterlilyqueen I used to watch the show back then and yes Angie had a big time problem with Jenny and Jessie. She was very jealous. Once, she knew that Jessie was liking her, she developed a close friendship with Jenny. They became best girlfriends.

  • I agree. Jenny was Jesse's true love and always has been.

  • @TRAVISJAMES03 That puts an interesting spin on things! What if it was intentional? Watching this clip, I kind of wish thtey got together. They have great chemistry.

  • @Hibbs4Prez I totally agree with you. I didn't watch AMC then (I wasn't even born) but I've always wondered if Greg and and Angie ever felt a bit threatened by the friendship. A beauiful white girl and a sexy black guy.

  • That first flashback scene's episode ended with Opal(Dorothy Lyman) finding Jessie sleeping on her couch, and hitting the roof. She was very intolerant. That was the first time, I watched this soap, and been occasionally watching it, ever since.
