One Thing I Ask

A thousand desires of my soul
Are swept down in the flood of your love.
The fullness of joy that's in your presence
Makes me sing aloud your praises now.
The one thing I ask is to dwell in your house forever and ever.

The Lord is my light and my strength
Whom shall I fear and whom shall I dread.
He hides me in his wings, sets me on a rock, lifts me up again and gives me his grace.
This one I do, I sing out his praise again and again.
The one thing I ask is to dwell in your house forever and ever.

Teach me O Lord my God
Guide me in truth my God.
Teach me O Lord my God
I need to hear from you.

Teach me O Lord my God
Guide me in truth my God.
Teach me O Lord my God
I need to hear from you.

This one thing I ask is to dwell in your house forever and ever.
