I just got a set of these. I was very surprised with how loud these little guys are. But more importantly, they're very portable with retractable cables that prevent having to deal with a mess of wires. It's nice that they connect together at the base and can easily be charged via USB using the same cable that connects the L and R speakers together.

thanks for that. I'm trying to decide on one of them but There seems to be no direct comparisons. Do you know who was first and who copied them?

I just tested the GoRock portable speakers against the x-mini (first generation) and they lost. Similar output in terms of volume but the quality is definitely with x-mini.
