The Bible is not concerned with truth but with scripture. Just as how god ribbed his Adam to make Eve instead of mixing up another mud pie is NOT A STATEMENT of TRUTH, but a grotesque delusion.

People have a hard enough time keeping recent history straight. What's that saying? He who wins the war (re)writes the history? So far evolution seems like the best reasoning behind how we came to be. If someone finds a different answer, with evidence, I'm all ears.

History, ahh yes such a terrible subject. For we are only to believe what we are told. Knowing nothing that REALLY happened. We could be living not knowing that the government has aliens that are about to be released. Who really knows? Oh wait no one knows anything for a fact.... We just see things that our mind THINKS it is. Also if the Bible were to be true and time would have to be suspended as you say, don't you think Christians would say "Hey, our God could suspend time if He wants to?"

There is indeed a history. One which people of your faith have to muddle together in order for any of it to make sense. History it's self has almost destroyed any idea the authors of the bible have come up with. You probably weren't to thrilled when we stumbled upon the fossil record either. So now you have to rewrite history so it makes sense with your story of life according to the Bronze Age. If anything history would have to be suspended in order for the bible to continue to make sense.

What exactly do you believe? Is it so crazy to accept an "imaginary" God when you turn around and accept a theory that the world formed from nothing and we all evolved from monkeys? Blindly accepting and faith are two different things... faith can be fed with truths such as the Bible. There is history and history is what we should look at.

Feel free to respond Lictor but I'm going to make this my last post on this as this could go on for a while. Youtube doesn't make a good message board for this kind of discussion IMO. My reasons for my belief in God are varied, some centered in the Judaic-Christian scriptures because of things they contain that can't be explained away naturally. It's hard to explain it to one though if they're not willing to look at it so all I can say is that we'll have to go our separate ways on this topic.
