Since being asked by the disabled pianist John Maynard to preside over the John Maynard Society in 1980 I have continued to carry his flag of encouragement for young musicians.

Hammerwood Park provides a facility for practice and performance as well as charity recitals for http://www.medair.org, for instance, and it is an honour to welcome such musicians as Worth Abbey School scholar Luke Navin.

All organists are welcome to play or practice occasionally or regularly whenever they want by arrangement.

If you would like to come and hear amazing musicians, please keep an eye on http://www.hammerwood.mistral.co.uk/concerts.htm

  • One of the worst electronic machines I have ever heard !!!

  • @nistorgxx1 If you sit in your armchair listening to a bad recording and don't experience the real thing, you'll think that. Please look up "Hugh Potton Reubke", "Jeremy Filsell Hollins", "Filsell Clavierubung", "Benjamin Scott Vierne", "Brahms - 3 chorale preludes for organ" you'll find proper recordings and look forward to your comments there.

The point of this video was a snapshot of a clearly talented lad, not technical perfection of recording nor registration

  • @sarum1surplice I doubt if you could play that well at his age

  • @latribe Then please come and play a concert and show Luke how it should be played . . .

Looking forward to seeing one of your performances soon. No doubt they will drip with color, featuring masterful articulation and phrasing, while exuding feeling, passion, and virtuosity. No doubt your playing will be a paragon of musicality and genius. Can't wait!

  • Well played Luke! Thanks for putting this up - I knew this piece years ago but never found out what it was called. Now that I know, I'll be looking out for it. :-)

  • This little guy, puts my playing to shame haha.

  • @sarum1surplice Okay let's hear it, or shut your nasty face up. Get back to your crochet and cats, you grumpy old troll.
