Another short film of a Shinkansen at Shin Osaka. Took the 700 series Railstar from Fukuyama (Hiroshima prefecture) to Shin Osaka and then transfered onto the N700 up back to Tokyo just to ride this new technology.
As you can see, the beak-like face is pure Japanese technology of reducing pneumatic resistance.
Its curving ability has advanced and can easly make a hard turn at a high speed of 300km/h.
Former 700 takes about 2h30min from Tokyo to Shin Osaka, while the N700 can do that 10min faster.
