Every year we have harinam or congregational street chanting on Oxford Street to celebrate Lord Caitanya's Appearance Day, otherwise known as Gaura Purnima which literally means the rising of the full golden moon. Lord Caitanya is Radha and Krishna combined and he appeared on this earth just over 500 years ago in Navadvip, West Bengal. He came to inundate the universe with love of God. He came to introduce the chanting of Hare Krishna in every town and village and also there is another, more esoteric reason and that was to experience the intensity of the love that Srimati Radharani felt for Him. God may know everything but there are some things He doesn't know. That is the wonder of The Supreme Personality of Godhead, He is all knowing and at the same time He is not. If you wish to go further into this subject then either contact myself or go to any Hare Krishna Temple and purchase a book on Krishna consciousness.
Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!
