Im guessing no.

If you hve travelled the world as John had, you would realise the high esteem the BBC world service is held in. particularly at that time before modern technology and internet. The world service was one of many people around the worlds only source of media.

Why do you think the British government always fund (until recently) the world service when no one in the uk uses it?
