This is a lightning storm that we filmed from our house. I couldn't go out durring the peak of the storm b/c my camera would have gotten soaked. Stayed low, w/ jacket over my head. It's DANGEROUS, but so cool, video and pictures do NOT do it justice, its so awesome in person. I slowed down some of the shots to super slow motion, none are photographs until the section that says so. It has NOT been sped up in any way, it really happens this fast. Up to 5000 strikes/hour at one point.

When it comes to thunderstorms us weather watchers like to feel the lightning and hear the thunder, not your outragious tunes and lightning slow motion playbacks.

Well good luck feeling thunder on YouTube. Its slowed down at some points to show the actual bolt and it intricacies, which if you were a "real" weather buff, like those of us who fly airplanes and study meteorology, you'd appreciate!
