  • thats pretty good footage tho..and it did actually look like i was there just watching them and hearing the siren thats how clear ya cam is

    good work mate

  • Thanks :-) The last two vids have been with my tripod and that makes them even better.

  • whats the point in taken the trucks out ??

  • Training night, they use the space for training.

  • man that was realy loud was as if i was actualy there lol any ideas on when the new type 1 and 2 go to that station

  • The schedule I have says Lyttelton are to get a type 2 in September this year but doesn't mention a new type 1. But then this same schedule mentions nothing about Christchurch 217 getting a new type 3 so it can change :-)

  • what is the first siren ?

  • I'm glad that they have a paid department where I live. Hearing that go off would scare the crap out of me every time! Nice video.

  • Wow, the fire signal in England is Almost EXACTLY the same as the in America .

Nice Carter. I think It might need some oil on the bearings though, sounds a little too low .

  • @qtfire as it hought then.. Thanks for the reply. Do they only carry the one ladder on each appliance or is it 3 like in the UK? we carry a 135 extension ladder, an A frame 2 section ladder and a tripple extension ladder...all 'lightweight' alloy

  • @pyro999maniac mate when i was in nz in queenstown we still did,but alot of the new trucks being built now are carrying alloy ones

  • you still carry wooden ladders??????

  • lol thats an air raid siren hahahha love it tho wish our ones in england use it likes of london everyone would deffo move out the way unlike the piercer on we have

  • Good vid. Not so sure about changing the siren - aside from the nostalgia, these sirens convey the urgency very well, which a lot of newer sirens don't.
