This is something I found on a website that a friend of mine sent me. A song called Fire. Recorded in May 1978 at Clearwell Castle in England. Rehearsals right before they recorded "In Through the Out Door".
I went to Clearwell Castle after zep had been there in the basement and the room had been left as it was when they rehearsed there. Parachuting hanging from the ceiling with the walls all soundproofed. It was a special moment entering the room that they had rehearsed in.
This is an outtake from the early rehearsals - shaking out new material before they went to Polar Studios in Stockholm to start recording 'In Through The Out Door' during the winter of 1978-79.
As Zeppelin fans/historians know, the album was originally planned to be a 2-LP set, but they trimmed it back to1 LP and 7 songs. Three tracks from these sessions: "Wearing And Tearing", "Ozone Baby", and "Darlene" were later released on 'Coda' in 1982.

This track may have been abandoned in place...

What a riff, Bonham's drum sound is like a Jackhammer. Can't understand why this was never released officially.
