modern day church is failing because 'christians' have abandoned the original intent of the church. get the first thing right, Jesus is the head of the true Church, not some institution. He is the rightful owner of the church. If you interested I'm willing to foward you notes on the subject of the church this includes; the false church, the true church, the charasmatic church, the deformed church, the dysfunctional church, the God centered church, the perfect church, the theoretical church

What they are talking about is a counterfeit church - The Cainite-Judeo-Christian Religious Church. This is not The Church of God, it's denominationalism or a Church of divisions. There is only one Way and He is The Way and only a few in this age find The Way for narrow is the path and few there be that find it. Christ came to give his authority, spirit and life to the Church, which call them "christians" or "disciples" or whatever title you want to give them, they are the chosen, holy people of the Lord God of Israel....you cannot follow Jesus without knowing his bride, because it is his bride he has redeemed, not individuals.

You really cannot find the biblical paragrapaph that states that the "prophet" Elijah has killed 850 people because they have prayed to a different god for rain?

@48acar19 You are parroting other peoples arguments. The prophets of Baal were not killed for praying for rain. Maybe you should read it for yourself. Uneducated comment is still unsubstantiated and now you have wrecked your credibility by calling all but .01% of Jews uneducated. As far as hiding my identity, this is a forum for expressing ideas and opinions, not maligning the people who participate. Why do you care where I am? I am an American living in Belize, so what?

We either have to conclude that Jesus hasn't done an exceptional job, or consider that there is a vast difference between what he calls church and what we do.
