no, doug is not dead obviously. its for former band member Andy Capps who passed on May 18, 2006. Doug has been playing it at the beginning of shows since then

before anyone reads this incorrectly: i do agree.

but the reason he hasn't received that title is he doesn't just shred all the time like a pussy. therefore, people overlook his music because these silly kids think you're a great musician becuase you can sweep through scales or modes...when really, that just means you practice a lot...which is still respectable, but it's something anyone can do.
