opening riff is Eb min scale (eb, f,f#,Ab,Bb)the guitar player played it.
Bass Groove: Ab->Bb then D->Eb
you are playing B->C# C#->Eb. That isn't correct.
you gotta practice your scales homie!! Once you have a solid understanding of your scales, it will open your eyes to a lot of possibilities on bass.
