Asking what 25 years of Street Fighter means to you

Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Blazblue, Guilty Gear, KoF? None made by Capcom. There are lots of good fighting games out there, you just have to broaden your horizons and not be a Capcom loyalist. Oh and if you only play Capcom then test that your inputs are clean, KoF will have no remorse for a shortcut-DP or excess directional inputs.

I'm actually a huge Smash Bros player and I'm super pumped that Namco is doing it as they actually have a background in fighters. I'm not expecting the new Smash to be anywhere near as good as Melee or Project Melee but with any luck it's at least serious.

The problem for me is, i tried Tekken and KoF (dont like Mortal Kombat because of the violence) but got the feeling that tekken is not balanced(?) at all and for KoF XIII i am in the learning process ^^

Indeed some leniency is good. I'll be damned if the game decides to screw me over while trying to do a DP motion because my thumb was 1/10 of a milimeter lower than it should have been for a perfect input. That wouldn't make the game skillful, it would make it annoying, like SF1 where the specials were a pain in the ass to pull off.

I can see what you mean though, you can't do Bison's Ultra crouching because of the [DF, DF, PP] teleport shortcut, and I hate that.

What does 25 years of Street Fighter mean to me? Honestly, I don't think I could properly answer that question in a little youtube comment. It's been such a big part of my life, and those characters are almost like family to me. It's pretty much one of my favorite things ever.
